Microgreens

After 12 days, I harvested just over 1lb of food! I used kitchen shears to cut as close to the base as possible and weighed each tray's clippings on a scale that measured to ounces the thousandth.
Overall, this was fun and I plan to do another set of trays this weekend. The feedback cycle is quick and rewarding and the cost-to-entry was extremely low.
See spreadsheet below for details on the first grow. Enjoy some (limited) pictures of the first grow!

I've recently started a small home microgreen "farm". It consists of a cheap Amazon Basics wire rack and cheap plastic trays. The soil is run-of-the-mill Home Depot potting mix and the seeds come from True Leaf Market.
It's the middle of summer here in New Jersey right now so I don't anticipate using a grow light, but I have a spare one from a long while back when I was experimenting with hydroponics. I anticipate needing something a little less bulky in the future but it should suffice for if this carries through winter.
I've been tracking my costs and yields in a Google Sheet. I'm excited for the first harvest!
The Google Sheet tracks inventory, costs, and yields.

Future Plans
I would love to begin tracking the humidity and temperature of the growing room. I don't think tweaking these will affect growing too much but it would be a neat data point to have. Additionally, I'm interested in creating a small application (see Bootstrapping) to make my spreadsheet a bit easier to manage.
